I
am active on HF, VHF and UHF. Although I am not a die hard fan on any
mode or band, I do mainly work phone or digital modes. Not being
particualrly fond of contests, I will give out a point here and there
if I hear a needed prefix or area. I mainly operate phone and enjoy
chasing DX and have taken the leap into the magic band, 6 meters.

VHF/UHF Station - Yaesu FT-726R with 2M and 430 modules and Satellite Board for full duplex operation

- TE Systems 0510G 10w in/ 170w out 6M amplifier
- Yaesu FT-1500M 2M, currently the full time APRS radio for KI6LO-10

- Pair of homebrew Moxon 'turnstile' antennas for 2M and 70cm satellite work (from article by L.B. Cebik in QST August 2001)
- 5 element 2M yagi (converted Radioshack FM rcv antenna - QST 7/99 article)
- 5/8 wave colinear vertical used for APRS but can be switch when needed.

- W6NEK's HFBeaconTracker - used to watch for band openings
- Kam Terminal - old DOS program with dual RX/TX windows. Easy to use and I really like it so I still use it for packet and raw APRS data monitoring.
- ORBITRON Satellite Tracking program - very nice and free for postcard
